Anti-Heroine Media joined the project to bring this document to life. We collaborated with the UN Global Compact Network Canada team to strategize around how to translate this inspiring content into a dynamic and visually engaging collection of resources, with case studies that both support the consultation findings and stand alone as examples of equity in action. Together we locked in on a magazine-inspired visual style, breaking up the text with original illustrations, accents, and data visualization. In this context the case studies became profiles of the companies and organizations featured, tailoring the layout and style to their unique stories. Anti-Heroine Media designed the Executive Summary, Consultation Session Report, Advice from Gender Equity Leaders, and 20 case studies in both English and French, incorporating accessibility best practices throughout. The inclusion of reading order and bookmarks in particular help screen-reader users navigate the full compiled toolkit, which is 200+ pages long.

Funded by Women and Gender Equality Canada, the UN Global Compact Network Canada undertook a three-year initiative to bolster women’s participation and opportunities in the labour market. This involved robust consultation with women and systemically marginalized groups in discussions around post-pandemic recovery, the challenges they were facing, and workplace resilience. The UN Global Compact Network Canada collaborated with private sector partners, professional networks, gender equity leaders, and industry associations to pinpoint gender-based workplace barriers, cultivate gender-responsive solutions, and introduce a comprehensive toolkit on gender equality, diversity, and inclusion for businesses. These conversations culminated in the Accelerating Systemic Change Toolkit, a document detailing the results of the project alongside 20 sector-specific case studies illustrating the different strategies that companies have implemented to improve equity in the workplace.

Anti-Heroine Media also supported the release of the toolkit by creating additional promotional content for social media to showcase the project. This included infographics, videos, carousels, and editable templates that featured companies could use to share their own case studies.

These pieces were all formatted for Instagram and LinkedIn and included tutorials for using the toolkit, findings from the consultation sessions, and thematic collections showcasing the diverse strategies and approaches across different sectors.
